How can Rod be summed up in words. He was very much an individual who found a routine lifestyle very hard to adapt to. He was never happier than when out on the road, driving one of his beloved trucks, or latterly chauffeuring customers around in his Mercedes car. An enthusiastic cook, he would go outside in even the worst weather to get a barbecue going, but was equally at home taking over the whole kitchen to create something wonderful. His motto should definately have been "I love to cook with wine - sometimes I even put it in the food".
